  • Instructions
    1) Tear the white mulberry paper into workable pieces, approximately 1” x 2”. Dip the paintbrush into the Liquid Laminate™. Paint some onto the surface of the glass. Lay the torn paper into the laminate. Use the brush and the laminate to adhere it completely to the surface of the glass. Continue adding pieces of paper, overlapping them slightly so that the glass is completely covered. Use the straighter edge pieces to go along the top edge of the glass. After it is covered, paint a coat of laminate over the entire surface to seal it. Allow to dry completely.
    2) Lay the glass on its side on a sheet of paper. Use the bottle of Gem-Tac™ to squirt out a line design along the top edge of the glass. Add a curved or swirled line coming down from the edge. Add a swirl or 2 off of that line. Sprinkle the crystal bead mix onto the glue lines. The excess beads will fall onto the paper to be re-used. Allow the beaded glue lines to dry. Turn the glass and add more lines around the glass as desired. The amount of lines depends on the size and shape of your glass and what is pleasing to you. When all lines around the glass are dry, you can stand the glass up and add lines on the base of the glass.
    3) Wire swirls: To make swirls, cut 12” pieces of wire. Begin at one end by making a small loop. Wind the loop into a swirl between your thumb and forefinger, keeping it flat. Make it approximately the size of a dime. Thread some crystal beads onto the straight end. Make a swirl at the other end of the wire. Bend the wire in a small zig zag in the center if desired. Make a few assorted swirls and glue them to the glass in an area without beads.
    4) Glue the small square mirrors “here and there” around the glass.
    5) Wired bow: A wired bow can be added to the handle if your glass has one or around the stem of a glass. Cut 2 pieces of wire each 12” long. Twist them together to make one piece. Glue a 1” piece of beaded trim around each end of the wire by wrapping it around the wire and itself to make tassel ends. Wrap the center of the wire around the stem or handle. Bend each side of the wire to form loops leaving the tassel ends hanging. Cut a small piece of wire to wrap around the center to hold the loops in position. Add some Gem-Tac™ if needed to hold the bow in place.
