Well Summer is finally here and that means heading outdoors, kicking back, and enjoying a nice Ring Pop. Or if you’re a scrapbooker, that means heading outdoors to run around taking pictures of kids eating Ring Pops! And since my girls are big Ring Pop fans, it wasn’t too hard to get pictures of them enjoying their favorite treat. When I saw We R MemoryKeepers summer cut-outs I immediately thought it would be fun to give them even more pizazz with a variety of beads from Jewelcraft. There are so many wonderful pre-made cut-out embellishments on the market nowadays and Jewelcraft beads are perfect for adding your own personal touch.

To create this layout, I started by cutting a quarter inch off each side of the white cardstock and mounting it on the pink cardstock. I then cut the title, flowers, and bee from the cut-out sheet. Using Tombo MonoMulti Liquid Glue, I adhered individual Red Hot beads onto the title as well as the outer circle of each of the flower centers. For the middle flower centers put a small amount of Diamond Glaze glue and adhere the Treasure Beads. I used Heritage beads for the stripes, head and antennae of the bee and then for an extra bit of sparkle, I painted the bee wings with Crystal Stickles. I then mounted my photos and title onto the layout. I added my flower embellishments and bee to accent the photos. I adhered Out West beads for the flight trail of the bee after I positioned the bee on the layout. I cut random, wavy strips of Terrifically Tacky Tape and adhered them along the sides of the photos. I sprinkled Red Hot beads onto the tape strips and pressed them into the tape adhesive. I then shook off the excess beads. I added the letter stickers for the girls’ names and for “girls” on the title. Finally, I adhered the Bugle Beads using Tombo MonoMulti Liquid Glue. One final item to note: the letter stickers used for “girls” were originally white. I used a purple Slick Writer pen to color them in to match the color scheme of my layout.
