OK, I’ll be honest. For years I didn’t use stickers. I loved to create embellishments on my own and using stickers, well, it felt a bit like cheating. But I have to admit I’ve fallen in love with stickers all over again, especially when I can add my own personal touch with Jewelcraft products.

For this layout about my daughter’s over-the-top outfit from Grandma, I added Jewelcraft beads to a Paper Fever sticker. The beads added dimension and sparkle—perfect for playing dress up! But I didn’t stop with the sticker. After all, even though I don’t get to dress up in feather boas and sequin hats, I can still dress up my layout! I added beads near the title to give emphasis and sprinkled them in the corners of the page and among the square embellishments to lend a “jewelry box” quality to the page.

Tear bottom left corner of lavender patterned paper as shown. Roll edges and mount the paper, including the torn corner as shown. Roll back the torn edges of the corner. Swipe a pink ink pad along the outer edges of the layout as well as the rolled edges of the torn corner. Liberally apply Diamond Glaze adhesive to the inside of the torn corner and press a mixture of Healing Beads and Funky Town Beads into the Glaze. Hand stitch outside corners. Cut squares of various sizes from the pink patterned papers and adhere to page as shown. Mat and arrange photos as shown. While the sticker is still on it’s package backing, adhere beads as shown. I used Tombo’s MonoAdhesive liquid glue to do so. Paint wings with the glitter paint. When all is dry, lift carefully from the sticker backing and adhere to layout/photos as shown. Stamp journaling, wrapping it around the corners of the focal photo. Sprinkle beads randomly onto the title and the inside corners of the page. Glue to the page. (I used Tombo’s MonoAdhesive to do this.)
