Western Mache Box

Materials:
• JewelCraft Nailheads:
o Gold Large Raised Star
o Gold Size 20 Raised Star
o Gold Size 10 Flat
o Gold Size 30 Pearl
• Hand Tool or small screwdriver (to set studs)
• Piece of fun foam
• Western Boot Rubber Stamp from Museum of Modern Rubber
• Black Vivid Ink Pad
• Double-sided foam tape
• Krylon Make It Suede Spray Paint: Buckskin
• Light Brown Suede Paper from Papers By Catherine
• Paper Mache Box
• Aleene’s Tacky Glue
• Scissors


Instructions
1. Following manufacturer’s instructions, spray outside of mache box with two coats of Make It Suede.
2. Stamp “boot” two times with black ink on suede paper. Allow to dry, then trim close to outside edges.
3. Insert small star and small round studs on the side of each stamped boot. To insert studs, lay boot on piece of fun foam and pierce with stud where desired. Secure on the back with hand tool.
4. When all studs have been inserted on the boots and secured on the back, apply double-sided foam tape to the back of each.
5. Cut strips of suede paper wide enough to cover top lip of box, and insert studs where desired, following instructions above.
6. Glue the strips onto the box with tacky glue.
7. Cut four stars from suede paper, insert a stud into the center and glue one to each side of the box.
